Frankfurt Exhibition Tour | Insights into the Strategic Moves of Global Lighting Giants

The 2026 Light+Building International Trade Fair for Lighting and Building Services in Frankfurt, widely regarded as the global benchmark for the lighting industry, has successfully concluded. This year’s event was centered around the theme “Be Electrified–Electrifying Places.Illuminating Spaces.” (Empowering an Electrified Future—Intelligent Connected Buildings, Light-Shaping Spaces), bringing together leading global companies to compete on a world-class stage. Sustainability, intelligent connectivity, and the seamless integration of light and space emerged as the overarching trends throughout the exhibition. Major international lighting players have moved beyond mere product competition, building core competitive advantages through technology ecosystems and outlining a clear roadmap for the industry’s digital and green transformation.

Signify has unveiled a new brand identity, with a strong focus on natural-light simulation technology. The company is showcasing its NatureConnect natural-light solutions, 3D-printed luminaires, smart streetlights, and the Interact intelligent connectivity system, covering all lighting scenarios in both professional applications and smart homes and delivering end-to-end lighting solutions across the entire value chain.
Ams Osram is deeply committed to smart and emotional lighting, leveraging advanced LED and sensor technologies to enable dynamic illumination. The company has launched adaptive street lighting and responsive indoor lighting systems, while also expanding into cross-industry applications such as UV-C air treatment, thereby pushing the boundaries of lighting technology.
Austria’s Zumtobel Group is showcasing a portfolio of its brands at the exhibition. Among them, RuiGao Lighting is focusing on three key pillars—energy efficiency, infrastructure, and data—presenting high-voltage DC microgrids, intelligent sensing tools, and multi-scenario customized lighting solutions to empower diverse spaces. Meanwhile, its XAL brand has launched an upgraded magnetic track system featuring a new curved design and multiple mounting options, catering to a wider range of application scenarios.
Looking at this year’s exhibition, the direction of transformation in the global lighting industry has become increasingly clear: international industry leaders are moving beyond competition centered on individual products, instead focusing on smart connectivity and integrated building solutions to seamlessly embed lighting into architectural systems. This aligns closely with Zopoise Technology’s commitment to developing green, intelligent lighting solutions and expanding its presence in global markets, while also providing a clear roadmap for the industry’s transformation.
