With the end of the plum-rain season and the arrival of the dog days, July in Hunan has officially entered “the hottest period on record,” as the scorching sun blazes and temperatures continue to soar. Yet the frontline workers at Lizhong Workshop remain as enthusiastic as ever—indeed, the hotter it gets, the more energized they become. Sweat soaks through their sleeves, but they never pause; instead, they carry out their tasks with steady efficiency and unwavering focus.

To safeguard the physical health of employees who steadfastly work on the front lines, Lizhong Company made early preparations: every day, freshly brewed cooling herbal tea is distributed to each workshop. A small handful of chrysanthemum flowers, a few plump gardenia seeds, and a touch of gentle, nourishing goji berries come together to create a refreshing respite in the summer heat. During breaks, employees enjoy a generous sip of this heat-clearing, summer-cooling herbal tea—truly a soothing and delightful experience.

However, tea alone—though effective at clearing heat—is hardly enough to ensure a comfortable summer. While preparing herbal cooling drinks, Lizhong Company has also stocked up on related medicines such as Huoxiang Zhengqi Liquid, Ren Dan pills, and Wind Oil, just in case. In addition, the company has purchased large quantities of mung-bean-sand ice treats for employees to enjoy and beat the heat, providing an extra layer of protection against the sweltering summer. Employees have been jokingly passing along the saying: “If you want to do your job well, grab some Huoxiang Zhengqi and mung-bean-sand ice together!” This simple yet down-to-earth slogan has not only enlivened the work atmosphere but also boosted everyone’s morale. After a brief break, they rolled up their sleeves and got right back to work!
