Decoding Zopoise: Pioneering Innovation to Build a Leading Hub in Lighting Technology

In the LED lighting industry’s technology race, Zopoise has adopted the philosophy of “technology innovation as the driving force” to establish a comprehensive, end-to-end R&D system, which has become the core engine for the company’s continuous breakthroughs.
The R&D Center serves as the “brain” for technological breakthroughs, comprising five major divisions—including the Research Institute and the Application Technical Support Department—and bringing together optoelectronics experts from both China and abroad to establish a closed-loop system that spans from fundamental research to the commercialization of innovations. Specifically, the Research Institute delves deeply into foundational areas such as materials science, optics, and intelligent control, providing a continuous stream of fresh ideas and insights to fuel innovation; the R&D Center focuses on product architecture design and the application of new technologies, ensuring that laboratory discoveries are swiftly translated into market-ready solutions; and the Testing Center, backed by accreditations such as CNAS, UL, and TUV, conducts comprehensive testing in optics, safety, and environmental protection, thereby establishing a robust quality assurance framework.
The robust operation of this system hinges on the dual support of both hardware and software. On the hardware front, over RMB 60 million in equipment investment, coupled with 1,000 square meters of R&D space and a 3,000-square-meter testing laboratory, has established a solid foundation for innovation. Meanwhile, three major production bases—in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province; Zhongshan, Guangdong Province; and Malaysia—ensure seamless integration between R&D and manufacturing. On the software side, collaborative industry–university–research partnerships with institutions such as North China Electric Power University and Central South University continuously infuse intellectual resources, while a nationwide marketing network and extensive industry collaboration channels ensure that technological innovation remains squarely aligned with market needs.
Continuous investment in R&D serves as the “fuel” that powers innovation. Between 2019 and 2024, Zopoise invested a total of RMB 190 million in R&D, with an additional RMB 30 million planned for 2025. By combining an in-house talent pool with externally recruited experts, this investment has been translated into robust results: 752 patents, including 55 international patents.
From fundamental research to industrial applications, and from the laboratory to the global market, Zopoise’s R&D system is harnessing the synergistic power of industry–university–research–application collaboration to continuously unlock new possibilities in lighting technology.
