The Party Branch of Zopoise Held the 2018 Organizational Life Meeting, Democratic Assessment of Party Members, and Accountability Review of the Branch Secretary

In accordance with the spirit of Document No. 4 of the Zhuzhou Municipal Party Committee Organization Department of the Communist Party of China, “Notice on Convening the 2018 Annual Organizational Life Meeting of Grassroots Party Organizations and Conducting Democratic Evaluation of Party Members” (Zhuzhou Organization [2019] No. 4), as well as the relevant requirements of the Party Committee of CITIC Group, the Zopoise Party Branch convened the 2018 Annual Organizational Life Meeting and Democratic Evaluation of Party Members, together with the performance report and evaluation of the branch secretary, on March 13, 2019. The meeting was chaired by Li Ji, the branch secretary, and attended by Yuan Bin, a member of the Party Committee of CITIC Group and Deputy General Manager, who provided guidance. A total of 19 party members from the branch participated in the meeting.

To ensure the successful holding of this organizational life meeting, the Zopoise Party branch made thorough preparations. It convened a special meeting of the branch committee to outline the relevant requirements and organized集中学习 of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the conference celebrating the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up. At the same time, in-depth and widespread heart-to-heart talks were conducted between the branch secretary and the members of the branch committee, as well as among the members of the branch committee and the party members.

During the meeting, Li Ji, the Party branch secretary, delivered a work report on behalf of the branch leadership team, conducted a self-examination and对照检查, and identified existing problems. Subsequently, criticism and self-criticism were carried out in the order of “first the branch secretary, then the branch committee members, and finally the ordinary party members.” In addition, a democratic evaluation was conducted for the 2018 branch leadership team, the branch secretary, and all party members, with participants scoring one another.

Leaders in attendance, including General Manager Yuan, fully commended Zopoise’s recent organizational life meeting, noting that the preparatory work was thorough, the meeting achieved excellent results, and participants effectively integrated their pre-meeting study with the exchange of views during candid conversations. The meeting fostered profound self-criticism and constructive mutual criticism, producing the desired effect of “red faces and sweating.” Party members were urged to adopt a humble and open attitude toward criticism from their comrades and to earnestly incorporate such feedback into their subsequent work for continuous improvement. In addition, General Manager Yuan emphasized four key points: first, attach great importance to Party building, integrating ideological and theoretical learning with practical business operations to ensure that Party work and business development advance in tandem; second, leverage the advantages of Zopoise’s mixed-ownership structure to continuously enhance its capacity for innovation and development, thereby achieving new, high-quality growth; third, party members should align their efforts with the company’s business objectives, set an exemplary standard in their respective roles, fully exemplify the pioneering and model role of Party members, and translate the spirit of dedication and entrepreneurship into concrete actions; and fourth, innovate performance management to enhance the sense of well-being among shareholders and employees, seize opportunities to achieve win-win outcomes for individual and corporate development, and contribute to the continued growth of Zopoise.

Finally, Li Ji delivered a concluding statement on behalf of the Party branch, emphasizing that criticism and self-criticism are fine traditions of the Communist Party of China. He stated that we should take this organizational life meeting as an opportunity to thoroughly incorporate the constructive criticisms raised by Party members during the meeting, conduct a more in-depth analysis of our own shortcomings, formulate solid and effective corrective measures, and rigorously implement these measures to ensure that the outcomes of the meeting are effectively translated into concrete results. The Party building in state-owned enterprises requires that the Party exercise overall leadership over both the enterprise and its cadres; therefore, all Party members must elevate their political awareness, continuously strengthen their work style, foster a sense of ownership, and fully leverage the Party branch’s role as a strong fighting fortress in the company’s development. We must strive to achieve new successes in the work of the Party branch and the company in 2019, further enhance our team, and make our lives more vibrant and fulfilling.
